Returns & Refunds

This policy applies to physical products bought through the Star IT Systems Technology Store. It does not apply to Managed IT Services, cloud, security or consultancy work, which are covered by the relevant services agreement. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Your 14-Day Right to Cancel (Consumers)

If you are buying as a consumer, you can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive the goods, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. To cancel, email info@staritsystems.com with your order reference. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us, unused and in their original packaging where possible. Unless the item is faulty or we sent the wrong item, you pay the cost of returning it.

The right to cancel does not apply to software, licences or other sealed items once they have been unsealed or activated, or to goods configured or built to your specification.

Refunds

We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or of you showing us proof that you have returned them, whichever is sooner. Refunds are made to the card or payment method you used, and include the standard delivery charge you paid. We may reduce a refund if the goods have been handled more than was needed to inspect them.

Faulty or Damaged Items

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if goods are faulty you can reject them for a full refund within 30 days of delivery. After that, we will repair or replace them, or refund you if a repair or replacement is not possible. If an item arrives damaged, please tell us within 48 hours, with photos if you can, and we will arrange a collection and replacement at no cost to you. Manufacturer warranties apply in addition to these rights.

Business Customers

The 14-day cancellation right is for consumers. If you are buying for a business, we will still consider returns of unopened items within 14 days of delivery, and faulty goods are always covered. Contact us first so we can arrange the return.

Cancelling Before Dispatch

If you change your mind before your order has been dispatched, contact us and we will cancel it and refund your payment in full.
