Be the first point of contact of IT support related queries

• Day to day running and setup of kiosk PCs, printers, payment devices etc.

• To escalate more complex issues to the relevant IT Support member

• Respond to reactive maintenance call-outs for kiosks when needed

• Maintaining inventories of kiosk equipment and purchasing equipment as required

• Work to improve processes and systems

• Work alongside CEO and Development team Skills & Qualifications

• Previous IT Support experience

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems

• Software installation and configuration

• Demonstrates self-motivation working with minimal supervision

• Hands on approach and a willingness to learn Person Specification

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• To effectively and efficiently identify the problem and resolve/or direct accordingly

• Must have a “Team-Player” attitude – supporting colleagues, sharing information and best practices

• Flexible with working hours to include: evenings, Weekends and Bank Holidays

• Highly organised with a proactive approach to working and solutions focused What you’ll be responsible for You will be responsible for the effective and efficient maintenance of London based clients systems.

The role incorporates a mix of skills and technologies that we are currently developing in our system. It will involve exposure to Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Driver Installation, Hardware Troubleshooting , Reporting to 2/3 Line IT Support, Communicating with Web Developers etc

What to Expect:
A 12 months internship in Product Supply (Manufacturing) with STAR IT SYSTEMS is designed to give students an intensive immersion in the exciting and challenging environment we work in. You will be entrusted with real, individual technical projects to lead, own, and execute over the course of your placement with us. You will be integrated into a multifunctional team from your first day and be responsible for delivering results to improve our business.

What you’ll do:
• Help to provide leadership &technical direction on some of our most critical business programmes to ensure delivery of mechanical engineering excellence.
• Mechanical design and development using 3D CAD tools (e.g. Creo, ProE, etc.)
• Work within the project team providing accurate mechanical engineering output and providing technical info to ensure the smartest decisions are made.
• Work in accordance with the mechanical design lifecycle. • Contribute to material selection (both metallic and composite)
• Have an understanding of machining and manufacturing techniques and employment of them to achieve optimal DFx approaches.
• Formulate prototype designs and produce physical representations. • Provide key support to critical technical problem investigations and deliver effective solutions.

Qualifications:
What we are looking for:

  • Students pursuing an engineering or technical degree in their penultimate or final year of study available for a 12 months internship starting January 2021
  • Strong base understanding of engineering principles within your chosen field as well as problem solving and leadership skills.
  • Evidence of passion and achievements, particularly leadership, in academic and/or non- academic activities, short work experience or internships are a plus.
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK for the entire duration of the 12-month placement.

Working Conditions:
• Work is performed remote research environment and work from home policy applied.
• May occasionally work in production work centres where use of protective equipment and gear is required. changing business dynamics; meet deadlines and operate with personal and professional integrity.
